Laptop arm adapter

This adapter attaches to a VESA arm, once you remove the VESA mount. It has only been tested with the GRIFEMA GB2003-1 arm, but it should work with many more models. The included parametric FreeCAD model can be adjusted for different measures.

The adapter can be used with some "fangs", recycled pieces of other laptop stands. The size of print is less than 180mm on its longer side, so it can be easily printed on a Bambulab A1 Mini.

I'm using the stand with my Thinkpad T480 and its extended 72Wh battery, which together amount to 1.812kg. The contraption holds, also with some typing. It is not really meant for typing while sitting. In this use case our laptop can better act as a second screen.

Making use of the hover feature of the arm, it is pretty nice to use while standing though.
